Dr. Freilich received his Bachelor of Science degree from York University in 1987, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto in 1991. He completed a General Practice Residency at the University of British Columbia in 1992, following which he practiced general dentistry for two years. Dr. Freilich obtained his surgical residency training at Dalhousie University, graduating with a Master of Science degree in 1998, and pursued fellowship training in Paediatric and Reconstructive oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Toronto affiliated teaching hospitals. Dr. Freilich was privileged to have been mentored throughout his fellowship by a surgeon trained and experienced in both plastic and oral and maxillofacial surgical disciplines. He remains one of only a few oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Canada with formal fellowship-level training in paediatric surgery.

Meet Dr. Freilich
Dr. Freilich has been a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, since 1999. He is Staff Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Humber River Hospital, Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Member of the International Workgroup for the AMSJI (Additively Manufactured Subperiosteal Jaw Implant) protocol, Canadian Councillor for the International College for Maxillo-Facial Surgery, and Clinical Instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto.
His past hospital appointments include Coordinator of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Services at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Staff Surgeon at The Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Sinai Hospital, and Consultant at Baycrest Hospital. He is also Past-President of the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles.
