Meet Dr. Jan

Dr. Ahmed M. Jan, D.D.S., M.S.c., F.R.C.D.(C)

Dr. Ahmed Jan received his Dental Medicine and Surgery degree from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1999.  He completed a one year internship after which he practiced general dentistry for four years.

Dr. Jan completed a five year Oral and Maxillofacial surgical residency training at the University of Toronto and its affiliated hospitals.

He graduated with a Master of Science degree in 2009, during which, he received numerous awards of distinction. He was the 2005 Straumann Resident Scientific Award Winner in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons meeting in Boston. He was also the first author to the paper entitled “Hyperbaric oxygen results in an increase in calvarial critical sized defects” found in Oral Surg Oral Med Oral Pathol Oral Radiol Endod. This paper won the 2006 Larry J. Peterson Prize. 

Dr. Jan is a fellow of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA). He is currently an Associate in Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto.

Dr. Jan has a special interest in the treatment of oral and facial pathologic conditions, reconstructive surgical procedures, including dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth surgery.

Dr. Jan is one of the very few Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in the province of Ontario who are Arabic as well as English speaking.
